We are finally getting the keys to our house tomorrow! This has been a long month. It has actually been nice moving from a larger house to a small apartment for a few months. It has changed our perspective, because now anything bigger than an apartment is great. We will especially appreciate having a yard again, even if not very large.
This is our Realtor--Realtor Rich as Carlton likes to call him. I don't have a very high opinion of most realtors (especially the one who helped us with the sale of our house in Huntsville), but Rich was really good. He realized early on that I don't like to talk much and we got along just fine from then on out. (By the way, this is also the truck I'd like to have.)
My favorite thing about the house is the deck. The picture doesn't really give it justice. The house faces west, so the backyard will be out of the sun in the evenings--perfect for barbecuing.
The one thing that the kids are most excited about is the tire swing. I guess it doesn't take much to entertain them. When we were originally buying it and they found out that it didn't have a swimming pool they were all bummed. Once they found out it had a tire swing though...
We are going to do some painting and put down some new flooring (carpet/laminate) before we actually move in. The movers are scheduled to bring our stuff on May 2nd.
